Day 1

On the first day of October 14, 2019, we gathered in front of the orange building at 7 am to distribute ID cards, luggage tags, and refreshments. Before leaving, we gathered to pray together and take pictures together. at 8 am we also left the campus and headed to toraja.



During the trip we do the guiding in accordance with the material that has been distributed. Then at 12.00 pm we arrived at Kupa Beach restaurant in Barru district for lunch and great prayers and for a short break. At Kupa Beach we were welcomed with a fresh welcome drink and the food it served was also very good. After lunch and midday prayer we also continue the journey to Toraja. 



At 4 pm we stopped in Bambapuang to rest and pray Asr. There we enjoy a coffee break and we can see beautiful scenery, one of which is the famous Miss Nona in Enrekang district. The view is very beautiful and the air is cool so we can relax our body for a moment before continuing the journey back. Furthermore we also left Bambapuang and continue the journey to Toraja. 



Not felt 2 passed and we arrived at the Toraja senses hotel that is the hotel that we will occupy while in Toraja. Arriving at the hotel we also check in and get ready for dinner. We had dinner at the penyet ria chicken restaurant on foot because the distance is not too far from the hotel. Finished the dinner continued with the evening evaluation. After that we returned to the hotel to rest.



Day 2

On the second day of October 15, 2019, we started our activities at 5.00 AM we made a morning call and got ready for breakfast. We did breakfast at the hotel and the food served was very delicious. After breakfast, at 7 am we went to Timenbayo by bus. In timenbayo we can see a very beautiful view and see the toraja district from above. Then from timenbayo we continued our journey to lokomata. At the lokomata we can see a stone tomb. A grave made on a rock cliff that has been perforated. In the morning we can feel the morning dew and the cold air. 




After that we did soft trecking to my mentirotiku. During our trip several times we stopped by the house residents who were doing transfer work and there were many more and at that time we had the opportunity to try palm wine or traditional drinks in Toraja which were served when there was community service.

Next we proceed to mentirotiku restaurant for lunch. In this restaurant, the menu served is brown rice and papiong. This food is a special food that we must try when we are in Toraja. after that we use the bus headed to the start point of the Bangko. Arriving at the start point, we continue tracking to Lempo bori. The journey taken is also very exciting like passing through the rice fields. We also stopped at several residents' houses and saw how to make carving at the tongkonan house in Toraja, saw the gravestones of the graves of the Toraja people, and also the baby graves. Toraja baby graves are different from the graves of adults. A dead baby is buried in a Tarra tree. Babies buried in the Tarra tree are babies who do not yet have teeth that are considered still sacred. Tarra tree was chosen as a baby grave because this type of tree has a lot of sap which is considered as a substitute for breast milk. By burying the baby in a Tarra tree as if returning the baby to the mother's womb. In bori there is also a refreshment distribution. Next we continued our journey by bus to Todi. At Todi we can see how to weave and what materials are used. 



After that we headed back to the hotel and got ready for dinner. At 08.00 the night we gathered in the hotel lobby to go to the restaurant penyet ria chicken for dinner. After dinner, the evening evaluation continued to discuss the activities carried out earlier. After an evaluation of the night we returned to the hotel to rest.



Day 3

On the third day of October 16, 2019 we started our activities at 05.00 am in the morning by morning call and getting ready for breakfast. We do breakfast in the Toraja sensa hotel and a varied menu. 



After breakfast we check out and get ready to go home to Makassar. Before leaving the hotel, we took a picture together first. After that we headed to the market by foot because the distance is not too far from the hotel, for those who want to buy souvenirs. After that we got on the bus to go back to Makassar. on the way home we also stopped at the lakipadada statue in the makale roundabout which is a statue of the hero of toraja and my friend Alfin did a guiding explaining the history of the lakipadada statue. After that we returned to the bus and continued the journey. At 09.30 am we stopped in Bambapuang in Enrekang Regency to enjoy coffee break. 



After the coffee break we got on the bus and continued on to Teras Empang in Pare-pare for lunch. We arrived at Terang Empang at 01.30 pm. The food served on the Empang Terrace is very delicious. here also we can see the view of the hill from a distance. 




After lunch we returned to continue the journey. We also stopped at the ideal restaurant in Maros for dinner. After dinner we left the restaurant and headed back to the Makassar tourism polytechnic campus.
